Career by Design: helping young adults effectively transition from school, through university and into employment.

When the structures and systems of a safe school environment are no longer in place, young adults face a liberating, yet daunting, learning environment at university in which they are expected to deliver academically, gain new social experiences and, importantly, make decisions about what career direction to take.

Engaging Career by Design to support the transition through this period provides students with:

• the tools to gain a clearer career direction
• greater understanding of and confidence in their own skills and aptitudes
• an increased knowledge of the graduate recruitment process and how to perform well in it

Support during this journey is provided through a series of one day group workshops, held over a three year period, as well as one-to-one career coaching. The Career by Design team all have backgrounds in working with graduates in blue chip companies. A combination of recruitment, leadership development and career counselling experience positions them excellently to provide the insights, tools and skills to support students.
